If you have the feeling that your money is leaking and disappearing without even knowing how, it’s time to think about the changes and the future.
The basis of everything is saving and setting goals so that you and your family can have financial security at all times.
Below are some examples of how easy it is to save money and advice on how to manage it wisely.
Saving on the party you don’t actually need
Almost all the information you need today in the digital age can be found on the Internet.
Although a subscription to a magazine might not make you a huge amount, consider whether you can get the information provided in it for free.
How much is in your home DVDs, CDs that just buy dust? Of course, we all need fun and we must occasionally honor things that make us happy, but we should not allow money to be thrown into the wind at the party.
Savings on car costs
Many without a car today can not, and the costs are great.
Consider, in view of the lower price, you would pay for the installation of gas. If you intend to buy a new car, consider taking a car for several years – the condition of such a vehicle may be slightly worse than that which is completely new, and its price is on average lower by about 30 percent. Do not forget that cycling is much cheaper, but also healthier.
Savings on the grocery store
If your meal choice is pizza, fast food chains or ready-to-eat foods purchased in stores, consider changing the diet – it’s possible to save and live healthier with less money. Cook yourself and plan meals based on what you have at home.
When you go to the store, carry a list with you to avoid spending money on unnecessary things. Do not waste money on bottled water. In most Croatian cities the quality of tap water is very good, and those who are suspicious can install a water purification filter.
Saving on things you can live without
If you’re a smoker, think about getting rid of this habit or reducing amount of cigarettes you smoke. The cigarettes have recently increased their prices, and as announced, it’s just a “round” in a row. Think about how much money you smoke.
Saving on directives
By shutting down, for example, computers or television when you’re away from them, they’ll save you money on your electricity bills. Although it probably seems like a petty thing, you are wrong – it’s about bad habits that follow us throughout the year.
The amount of electricity you spend in the end is not negligible. In the winter months, you do not have to walk in your short sleeve shirt, or keep open windows for low temperatures.
Savings on phone bills, mobile
Consider packages offered by telephone company operators. Compare prices and make sure you choose the most suitable one. Do you need everything you use – for example, cable television or a package that offers unlimited free minutes from a fixed phone. Do you need a new mobile or another device?
You can save your money on…
Make a list for the next monthly shopping, so check it out for a few days. You will surely conclude that everything you put on the list is not necessary and that you can spend money without spending any money that is not needed.
How many credit cards do you need? Get rid of the surplus on this issue, because money you pay for interest and membership fees can certainly be smarter to spend.
It can also be saved on gifts. The gifts we remember are not those that are the most expensive, but those that are special. If you are a creative person, create an original gift yourself.
What now?
In a situation where you learn to save one or more of the ways mentioned above, do not waste that money in vain. Build a financial strategy that will give you long-term security for your money, but also for you and your family.
What you need to do first, if you do not already have it, create an Emergency Fund.
Open an account or simply put money on the side for situations like major breakdowns in the home, car damage, health problems, loss of work.
Life is such that sometimes things go downhill, situations that require high costs are created in a moment and you break our plans. The other thing is that you try to repay some of the money, or part of the money you saved, if you have or repay the loan.
Keep a cost-effective budget
Smart disposal and savings should become your everyday life. You do not plan, but you count on putting a “surplus” on your side as you count it will stay, everything falls into the water.
Make money work for you
Once you create an Emergency Fund and calculate how long you have to repay debts / loans, start dealing with long-term goals. You are thinking about retirement days. The market offers a range of financial products and services through which you can enrich the money for old age. It’s up to you to decide whether it will be life insurance, investment in stocks, investment funds or something else.
Living on a tight budget is definitely not easy and most people find themselves in these kind of situations, sooner or later. But keep in mind that life doesn’t have to be THAT hard as you think it is, even when having a tight budget or “being poor”. After all, it’s all about keeping the positivity.
